Bull Bar on a Tundra with Dynamic Cruise and Sensors

I want to put a bull bar and lights on my 2018 Tundra TRD 4x4 Sport. Westin tells me I can not do that because it will interfere with the dynamic cruise and collision sensors. I want to keep both working but still want a bull bar.

1) Is what Westin says true or just fear of liability?
2) If so what solutions have you guys come up with?
3) What bars do work with the sensors?

Thanks

Welcome to the site RB!

I don't explicitly know the answer, but what they are saying makes sense. The bar may block the sensors. I bet you could mod them and move them outwards, but the dynamic cruise...eek. I'd be careful.

The only thing I see happening is:
  • Look for a different manufacturer
  • Adapt it so that they work
  • Give up the sensors
  • Give up the bull-bar

I would say to remove the sensors and mount them on the bull bar and extend the wiring harness to match.
