Entune Drops Phone

2017 Tundra TRD O/R

In the past weeks I've noticed that my radio screen no longer shows the names of my saved contacts. Now when I answer a call, the audio goes straight to the phone rather than through the radio. When I try to force back to radio (on the phone) it completely disconnects the phone and displays "no phone connected".

I have taken to dealer and they updated the firmware/software, but the problem persists.

Forced restart on the radio will bring the phone connection back. But it is embarrassing fumbling around (switching to speakerphone, rebooting radio, re-selecting car audio, etc) when taking calls on the road.

I am Apple ios 12 which was recently installed. I am not sure if this is due to the phone or truck?
