Cool General chat for T-100 owners...

The lounge is for T-100 owners who wish to chat about themselves, their lives, or anything in general that comes to mind without any concern with hijacking threads or taking discussions off-topic in the 1993-1998 T-100 forum. Nevertheless, discussion about your T-100 trucks are also welcome. Talk here should remain clean, without any posting of nasty/pornographic photos or talk that are the realm of the Off Topic forum. Any posts of that nature will be moved there or to General Discussion if required.

Model specific questions and/or comments should be placed in your own thread. Thanks and enjoy!

Cool General chat for T-100 owners...

I just wanted to add that i still get quite a few compliments about this truck. A lot of people like it better than my new Tundra.

The T100s are still pretty popular and the 3.4 liter has the right balance between power and fuel economy. It would be interesting to see where the T100 would sit if it were around today with gas prices the way they are.

Will someone post up a pic of a T100 engine bay with a 3.4L v6? I have a 3.0 and I'm doing the swap to 3.4. I'm trying to find what needs to stay and what needs to go.

Thanks.

I've been searching for some pics of the engine bay. Maybe someone knows where I could go. I've found some good pics of Taco's and I have my 93 to go off of, but I'd be interested in how the 95 up T100's layout looks.

I can take a pic for you.

Is yours an auto or 5 speed? If it is a 5 speed you can use the tranny, if not you need the auto transmission with the engine (the 3.4).

I tried mounting the 3.4 liter engine to the auto transmission and it will not work properly (the transmission willl not shift properly).

I would call Offroad Solutions and get their wire harness. It will solve your wiring issues. It is a lot of stuff to figure our and I tried unsuccessfully to do so. I ended up calling them.

Off the top of my head you will also need.

The 3.4 liter computer.
A 3.4 liter Mass Airflow sensor and intake (or aftermarket).
Exhaust mods.
Fuel line mods.
I'm trying to remember if it is the alternator or the power steering pump from the 3.4.
I changed the air moisture chambers.
The battery has to go to the other side of the engine bay or you'll have to extend the cables.
I lost my cruise control because I had to remove it to make room for the battery and the air moisture chambers.

The 3.0 starter will work.
The 3.0 rad will work.

I'll take some pics for ya and post them here.

Ask any questions and I'll see if I can answer them for you.

All I can say is that expect to spend a bit of money especially if you have an auto transmission! If so you will need additional stuff which I can let you know of.
