Cool My 2006 Just Hit 70K and Runs Like New After My Full Servicing!

Loving on my Older Truck here, and though I still need to change the Gear Fluids, I could not be more pleased with My Tundra! There are some Front End/Suspension/Structural and Cosmetic shortcomings, but as long as I feel as though The Tundra is Running as Strong as it is, I will be keeping it until the Wheel DO Come Off!!!

This gave me hope. I just bought a 2002 tundra extended cab 4.7L with 192k miles on the body, 95k on a used engine and transmission rebuilt 50k miles ago. Runs stronger than my last 2015 Tacoma TRD v6

My 2003 w/168k running perfect. Changing differentials/transfer case & ATF today, along wth new plugs. Wouldn't trade/sell it for anything. Ready to hit the beach for New Years celebration! Mobil 1 fluids since new.

Congrats!

I have an 02 with only 65K on it. Had it since brand new and still feels rock solid after almost 15 years on the road

Got to love these Toyota trucks!

Trying to sell my 2000 tundra. And folks think 261k is HIGH mileage. It ain't a Harley. It don't leak, tick, rattle, grumble, smoke, shimmy or shake. And there is no rust! It has been in Texas.

Unless really ready for another ride, it is prudent to put up to a few grand in to keep a sure thing than buy an unknown quantity of potential problems for 10-15 times that!
Good Luck either way, Y1!

Oh, and had that mystery Power Window/Auto Down/Locks Master Control issue for a year, then suddenly one day all was just like Day One again....
Strange how nobody ever posted any Fix Discoveries or Solutions to it though.
Sometimes, Luck is My Lady!!!!

That sounds like loose or corroded wire connection.
My locks will unlock and lock while driving. Why,who knows.

I replaced the 2000 tundra with 2007 Sequoia. With 110k miles.
Now dealing with the "thunk" issue.

Yep. I did extensive research and also asked on several Tundra forums, and from "check wiring harness" to bad circuit board to check fuses, watched YouTube til eyes fell out but nothing, at least nothing hadn't already checked. Several folks had exact same weirdness, but no solution ever posted.
Since it has now worked perfectly for a couple months, ain't sweating it!

What is the THUNK issue?
