Thumbs up Heated Mirrors

Well I searched and got back nothing useful (except one pricy site)

I want to install heated mirrors on my 4runner (prehaps later in the golf, which will be harder to do)

its got electric mirrors, so am I right in assuming all I need is the heater filament then wire it to a switch and provide power?

am I missing something else? has anyone done this and can provide pointers?

where would I get the filament

these are the questions I require answered Thanks!

The heater element is a sheet the size of about 2 credit cards or so that has the heater element tracing. That needs to be adhered to the mirror back, and then wired to your electrical system (relay recommended)

Your mirror is pry apart tabs to get to the innards, then screws, the mirror is double side tapped to a carrier in addition to plastic retainer tabs.
