Idle Surge

So I deleted egr, a couple vacuum lines, and the air injection on my 89 3vze and I got a bad idle surge now, never had it before

It's not surprising that you have an idle surge after that kind of modification. I had a worse surge than that the last time I cleaned my throttle body.

Your computer should learn new settings within a few days. Your surge will probably go away on their own.

So the surge goes away after a couple minutes but it runs really rough, I’ve tried adjusting my idle but It doesn’t seem to help any, I deleted this thing idk what it is or does but it gets bolted to the front of the intake, one bolt holds it on, it has vacuum lines going to the fuel pressure regulator, I know I need the regulator but do I need the other thing, if anyone has deleted egr would you mind sending some pictures of your vacuum lines or give your thoughts, I’m trying to get her to run better I miss driving it

Well, that's not a surprise either. A modern computer controlled engine steers its operating point to the ideal settings based on data from a complement of sensors. By disabling a number of engine systems, you've thrown the computer for a loop. It's having to revert to open-loop settings that are guaranteed to be wrong, given your modifications.

One way to get it to run like new would be to restore it to factory configuration. Not the way you want to go, I'm sure, but a full custom system is going to need a full custom tuning. Only you can tune your engine.

So I got er figured out, I needed to put the part in the picture back on and run some vacuum lines, the surge eventually went away I’m guessing because the computer did it’s relearn, like whoever replied saying that the computer had to relearn
