I don't own an 18', but I looked at them when shopping for my 14'. The fake taillight vent looked ok until close inspection. The fit on those sucks. There are huge gaps I saw on many of the models I saw on the lot.

Oh no! I should return mine now.

LOL - I love them on my XSE. Sorry... no gaps on mine. If someone if buying one, that is something you should point out during your delivery inspection.

Well that's good. Maybe that lot got a bad batch. But yeah many of them the gap was big enough it looked like it was going to pop off. I pushed on a few to get it flush and it would just go back to the gapped position.

Funny - I attended a car show last Saturday morning here in Rancho Cucamonga... of the 50 or so cars, all either classic or pure muscle, there was one single Civic SI Type R. The owner was visibly agitated. Not a single attendee was looking at it. It stuck out like a nasty blue sore thumb. Soooo ugly.
I did some stupid stuff to my first car in high school. We all probably have. The type R looks great from the front. Every other angle looks like a 16 year old kid bought every part the auto store had and stuck it on.

As a owner as of 9/2017...

#1 . The main thing i hate is that when i crack the window, if its even misting outside, the water hugs the body and comes right inside. I can't wait for some rain visors!

#2 . Once again, even in the slightest rain, when opening and closing the door, water from the jam drops into the car, onto the seat bolster etc. im sure they will adjust the weatherproofing on 2019+ models.

#3 . On a few camry's the whine when shifting to park and from park to any gear... Not sure if this should happen but working at a dealer and driven over 100 of them, majority (80+) of them made this noise.

The rain dripping onto the bolster has happened since 2012 at least. My 2012 and 2016 did both did it. I think my current 2016 Tundra does it even.

One thing I notice about 2018 Camry transmission, there is "Eco" in the setting (It is not drive mode we are talking about - Eco, Normal, Sport). When I disable this Eco setting, the transmission behave exactly what it intends to do. Shift to lower gear when I need more power. It always find the right gear. My lexus nx200t has the same "Eco Setting". I always turn it off. I guess it will cost some mpg

rear air vents

I definitely think some aspects of the 18 Camry are design overkill, such as the rear air vents on the bumper.

Just thinking out loud but maybe you could put the XLE (V6) bumper on the XSE to cancel out the air vents. The diffuser isn't as aggressive on the XLE bumper though. You could try a LE bumper since there will be a ton in the market eventually but they don't have the dual exhaust opening.

air vent delete mockup

Per my previous post, here is a Photoshop mockup of the XSE with a XLE bumper. You would lose the quad tips though.

The XLE bumper with no fake vents looks much cleaner and imo quad exhaust looks too "autozonish", I like dual exhaust better, so it's a win-win.

Now it looks like the 7.5 gen which I am not a big fan of. I like the styling of the 2018 maybe minus the vents but keep the rear bumper.

Maybe there will be so many complaints that some aftermarket company will make color matched fake vents or some billet versions that fit better.

How's the interior on them? The last version was tiny on the interior compared to the Accord, felt cramped. My wife bought a 2013 Accord instead of the Camry mostly due to that. She was upgrading from a '99 Camry (which I inherited) and looked at Camry's first. Accord was just... way bigger inside. Less of a cockpit feel to it
