Locking doors

Is there any way of locking the doors without using the fob or the lock button on the door when you get out of the vehicle?
I know some vehicles with the proximity fob there is a button on the inside of the door you can press to lock it. I find it aggravating to find the fob to lock the doors or to press the button on the inside of the door each time. Perhaps I'm missing something?

If you have the XSE or the XLE there is a sensor on the oitsidnof the door handle. It's a simple as swiping your finger on it and it locks the doors. If you have a lower trim level there is no options.

Proximity key access is available on the L, LE, and SE. You need the convenience package.

I have the convenience package on my XSE and the doors do not autolock by themselves without using the FOB or pushing the door lock sensor on the outside door handle. You can auto unlock by just putting your hand in the handle. The proximity sensor illuminates the dome lights as you approach.

I have an SE with the upgrade safety package. They will unlock upon placing my hand on the door but when I exit the vehicle its annoying trying to get it locked.

In a lot of states, it's illegal to leave the car running unattended. More the reason to have to shut the vehicle off.

I have the se upgraded package. So stupid they wouldnt put a button on all the doors for all levels with prox key. Sp annoying to lock the door with the fob or using the switch I side when you can unlock it with your hand but not lock it.

The sensor on the door can unlock and lock with your hand. Or is that only the XSE? You swipe your hand on the horizontal line on the left of the door handle and it locks it.

Can't recall if there is a "line", but I can lock/unlock with the hand swipe on my SE (upgraded package).

That's my issue, I can't get them to auto-lock by doing anything other than using my phone off or the 5 million side. I have an SE with proximity fob

Boy autocorrect fracked this up. In my maxima I could have car running, get out and lock car w fob, go into 7-11 and come back out. Car is locked but running. Something Toyota does not offer. Just a thought not a deal breaker.
