The new one is really clean inside and out. And everything I didn't like about my 2002 is better in the new one, like the 4 cylinder that only got 19 mpg.

Very happy about my new purchase.
I'm trying to buy a replacement hatch for my 05 highlander. You still have anything from the totaled one or not?

I do not, the insurance company totaled the car and kept it.

2003 Toyota Highlander Limited 64xxx miles Purchased 07/05/11

The only thing i've done so far is put on 22 inch rims and tires and got the driver side arm rest cover reupholstered, i plan on putting in a sony or pioneer double din dvd player and maybe 2 seven inch screens and hooking my 2 sony subwoofers and amps back up. I also might put 24's on her. I had hoped for LED mirror covers, but i traveled the internet far and wide with no luck

Yes that's the 4WD/AWD badge. Not sure if it's in the right place. All I care is that there's a diff in the rear

Wow, nasty accident. How did you hold up after the accident? How did it happen and did you find the highlander stood up to its safety cred?

Cheers

I was fine, my neck and back where sore for a couple of days. I played hockey two days later so it wasn't that bad.

There was a car stopped on the freeway on ramp on a blind corner, caught up to her faster than I thought I would and hit her from behind when I was looking over my shoulder to change lanes.

I braced myself so I didn't hit the airbag so I guess the only safety feature that helped me was the crumple zones that absorbed most of the impact.

The airbags going off is a life changing experience, they hit so fast, they smell, the car is full of gas, the horn was going off, and the change in pressure from the airbags makes you delirious and makes your ears pop.

Alyssa

This is before HID lights and fog lights.

This is after I installed OEM fog lights and HID lights. Shiny.
