Oh yeah I considered it, when I bought the car back in Dec of 2017 I was advised the block heater had a recall, checked back this week and its still that way no Toyota dealerships are selling them for the 18 Hybrid due to that same recall. I am worried pretty soon I'll see premature engine wear if this keeps up.

I picked up an oil pan heater but not sure how much of a difference that would make when the oils all ready 0w16. I was considering getting it installed anyway just because anything will help in the absence of a block heaters availability.
