Would any performance bolt ons be a problem?

I'm thinking just cold air intake and headers?

performance wise, no, not really. You have to understand that the HSD is a balancing act between an ICE and 2 electric motors. The computers are programed for that to work together. If you added power to the ICE, then the rest of the drivetrain is out of balance.
