  1. 20W50 in my Corolla 2003

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
Just switch. You will be fine. Any leaks will be because the engine already had a leak point
  2. Replacing VCG tomorrow on 3MZFE. What other parts should I replace?

    Camry 5th and 6th Gen '02-'11, Solara '04-'08
Make sure you replace the tube seals, intake gaskets, throttle body gasket, PCV valve, and PCV hose. It would also be a VERY good time to replace the thermostat and o-ring since the intake has to come apart and the thermostat is at the back of the engine, under the intake plenum. The washer...
  3. Corolla Foglight Wiring Harness Q's (OEM

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
For you to use a factory switch without wiring, you would need to physically add the wiring from the switch connector into the fuse box. This just isn't worth it. Since you don't have the wiring, I would just use the guide above and keep the switch for looks.
  4. Reprofiled Camshafts in a 1ZZ-FE

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
You cannot use 2ZZ parts on a 1ZZ. Nearly every single part on the inside of the engine is different. The camshafts and cylinder head are completely different.
  5. fog lights are adjusted the lowest they can go but still high?

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
You cannot use HIDs in a fog light housing made for halogens. Also if the assemblies are aftermarket, it is likely they are just garbage and causing wild light patterns due to bad QC.
  6. DIY TPMS Repair w/ TechStream Sensor Replacement

    Highlander 2nd Generation (2008-2013)
Ok so I fixed the issue. My solution: Bought a real Snap On/Panasonic Techstream for $200. Upon buying it, the Techstream was expired. I "acquired" a newer version of Techstream 14.10.28 which then gave me a firmware error on the cable. Connected to the Internet and it auto updated the cable...
  7. Just bought a '03 Matrix XRS with 84k miles, have a couple issues

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
The sensor is built into the bearing assembly. You cannot replace it. The sensor you bought was probably for an AWD model, which had independent rear suspension. The reason the bearing assembly is seized is rust. The section which protrudes through the backing plate rusts to the backing plate...
  8. Wiring diagram for headlight switch? (fog light wires)

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
Send me a PM and I'll get you the diagram.
  9. DIY 2005-2007 Sequoia A750E Transmission Drain and Flush w/PICS!

    Sequoia Forum
I flush them all this way. The "fluid change caused issues" is a decades old car myth. Transmission fluid literally drives, cools, and lubricates the transmission. If the fluid needs changing, especially while you already have issues, change it. You wouldn't leave motor oil that's never been...
  10. DIY 2003-2008 Corolla, Matrix, and Pontiac Vibe Front Sway Bar End Link Replacement

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
Toyota links are probably updated. These links were on 10th Gen Corolla/2nd Gen Matrix and Vibe and 1st Gen Scion tC as well. I'm sure there were tweaks throughout the run.
  11. 83 AE72 wagon transmission failing, need help & info

    Corolla Older Generations (1969-1987)
I have a set of TE72 pedals and MC (could use rebuild). Send me a PM to see if we can work something out.
  12. DIY TPMS Repair w/ TechStream Sensor Replacement

    Highlander 2nd Generation (2008-2013)
Rehashing this thread as it's only relevant one of the forum. I had the exact same experience as others here with the error below: "ID registration failed due to a communication error with the ECU while in initialization mode" I had no problem programming my Sequoia using an older AllScanner...
  13. excessive brake dust

    Sequoia Forum
Probably the pad type. Some brake pads leave lots of dust.
  14. 2005 matrix owner

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
Is your dome light bulb blown?
  15. 2ZZGE XRS Maf Question

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
1.9 to 2.4 is around normal at that RPM.
