  1. Corolla Celica brake retrofit

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
I wanted to correct a mistake I made in the install of the hand brake cables. To compensate for the end of the cables being shorter than the corolla's I mounted them further forward onto the clamp to compensate. Watching a video on how to adjust length of pull for Toyota hand brakes I realized...
  2. Corolla Celica brake retrofit

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
I got the alignment done today so I could finally put the center caps on. If you add coilovers to your car you have to adjust the back ones one inch taller than the front for a level ride height.
  3. Corolla Celica brake retrofit

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Yesterday after 14 grueling hours of sweat blood and tears I took my 96 DX and added front and rear disk brakes from a 95 Celica GT hatchback along with 5 lug black Prius rims and some REV9 Hyperstreet II coilover shocks. I will impart some things I learned from this that I wasn't able to find...
  4. JDM headlight Projector Retrofit

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Here is screenshots of the main components I bought. One of the OPT7 ballasts I reused from the previous headlights just took a dump on me so I will order a new H1 HID kit as soon as I pick one out and get a picture of the beam pattern for you hopefully next week.
  5. What did you do to your Corolla Today?

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Took the dash cluster apart and added an aluminum trim and an emblem and blue backlight LED's
  6. JDM headlight Projector Retrofit

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
I switched from factory headlights to specD tuning projector low beam reflector high beam headlights about two years ago. loved the look and performance but hated the quality and the fit of them they are molded too wide as a one piece headlight causing them to have poor fitment around the marker...
  7. What other steering wheels fit?

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)

  8. 94 Corolla 5sfe powered

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
In a January thread on engine mount compatibility between 7th Gen chassis and 1zz-fe engines. Hiro explains 3 of the 4 four mounts go to the transmission both being C series trannies swap straight across but the right side engine mount has to use a European Toyota model E11 4zz-fe mount. The...

Awesome thanks I'll check that out :) I've been having so much fun working on my rolla going down to pick and pull and combining parts from so many different yodas.
  10. 94 Corolla 5sfe powered

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Hello thank you for your response. I have seen videos and pictures of ZZ engine swaps into 7th gen AE101 engine bays that required a custum header pipe to avoid touching the firewall is there a way around this as replacing your header in Comiefornia is a big no no?
  11. 94 Corolla 5sfe powered

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Does anyone have any further information on this I am currently fixing up a 96 DX I'm about to do the disc rear conversion with Celica gt hubs and brakes and go to 5 lug black Prius rims next week. The 7afe engine is eating oil about quarter stick for every 300mi to the tank and it's pretty...
  12. Clutch engagement

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
I think i narrowed down the culprit. When parked on a hill and leaving it in gear as i hold the brake and push in the clutch in i can feel and hear the engine thump back down into a relaxed position. The jerking sensation i am feeling is being caused by the engine twisting in its worn out mounts...
  13. Clutch engagement

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Hi, I have a 96DX 5 speed. It has 184,000mi and the clutch was replaced last year. After it has broken in I am noticing engaging the clutch in first gear even with proper revs and a smooth clutch movement the flywheel engages the drivetrain with a noticeable jerk. The clutch has no slipping...
