  1. 02 climate controls not working, no power!

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
Finally saved up enough to buy a climate control unit & it turns out that wasn't the problem. Now I'm out of more $$$ and I still don't have a functioning radio. Oh well I guess it's time to invest in another vehicle unless the Toyota dealership has a cheap fix.
  2. Clock & digital climate control broken, please help!!!

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
The wires I'm referring to need to be soldered to the motherboard on the inside of the climate control unit. I was hesitant to take it apart & had hoped someone on the forum had made the same repair.
  3. Clock & digital climate control broken, please help!!!

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
I didn't cut any cables to splice, i bought a harness. And the wires that hook to the back of the radio aren't the same group of wires that connect to the climate controls.
  4. Clock & digital climate control broken, please help!!!

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
My clock and climate display aren't working in my 2003 Toyota Highlander after removing the climate control to install a new radio. The backlight still works but the clock doesn't display numbers and neither does the digital climate control. The AC still works but i can't see the temperature or...
  5. 02 climate controls not working, no power!

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
I have the same issue after unplugging the 2 cables behind the climate control unit. My controls still work, my display just doesn't light up. I'm wondering if that could be a fuse or if I'm just SOL and will have to purchase another.
  6. Does anyone know what this part is called?

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
I don't have a picture of the part but it's the black rubber cork shaped stopper on the bottom outside corner of all four doors. I want to order a replacement but it's impossible to do without the name. Thanks in advance. Edit: Here's a pic Edit: Never mind, found it apparently it's called...
  7. Armrest

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
Have you already bought the material? I've never sown an armrest but I did get my front passenger side armrest replaced at a local auto upholstery shop for $97. I'm not sure if you're DIY-ing because Toyota charges like $400 to replace the armrest or if you're just DIY Guy. If it's the former a...

  9. Does anyone know the product Toyota Dealerships use to remove paint scratches?

    Detailing & Car Care
So my grandmother told me about a guy that flagged her down in a parking lot and said he "works" for a "Toyota Dealership" and he offered to make a couple of quick cosmetic repairs on her corolla one of which was removing a few scratches from the paint. So he removed the scratches with some...
  10. installing fogs

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
Okay that's the exact same way I've done mines and how they'll hold up over time is my only concern.
  11. 2006 Led Side Mirror Covers?

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
They haven't moved an inch since the day I installed them, that 3M mounting tape works wonders.
  12. 2006 Led Side Mirror Covers?

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
I'm not 100% happy with the way I did mines, I ran the power cables from the covers between the covers and the actual mirrors. Then I took the mirrors apart at the folding hinge and ran the cables through the area in between the 2 parts of the mirror. Sorry if my description is kind of...
  13. installing fogs

    Highlander 1st Generation (2001-2007)
That there's a mighty fine Highlander you got there. Question on the signal mirrors, did you drill a hole in the back of your side view mirrors and run the wiring from the covers through the same hole as the power cables? Or did you run the power cable for the covers between the...
