  1. Corolla Foglight Wiring Harness Q's (OEM

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
For you to use a factory switch without wiring, you would need to physically add the wiring from the switch connector into the fuse box. This just isn't worth it. Since you don't have the wiring, I would just use the guide above and keep the switch for looks.
  2. Reprofiled Camshafts in a 1ZZ-FE

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
You cannot use 2ZZ parts on a 1ZZ. Nearly every single part on the inside of the engine is different. The camshafts and cylinder head are completely different.
  3. fog lights are adjusted the lowest they can go but still high?

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
You cannot use HIDs in a fog light housing made for halogens. Also if the assemblies are aftermarket, it is likely they are just garbage and causing wild light patterns due to bad QC.
  4. DIY TPMS Repair w/ TechStream Sensor Replacement

    Highlander 2nd Generation (2008-2013)
Ok so I fixed the issue. My solution: Bought a real Snap On/Panasonic Techstream for $200. Upon buying it, the Techstream was expired. I "acquired" a newer version of Techstream 14.10.28 which then gave me a firmware error on the cable. Connected to the Internet and it auto updated the cable...
  5. Just bought a '03 Matrix XRS with 84k miles, have a couple issues

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
The sensor is built into the bearing assembly. You cannot replace it. The sensor you bought was probably for an AWD model, which had independent rear suspension. The reason the bearing assembly is seized is rust. The section which protrudes through the backing plate rusts to the backing plate...
  6. Just bought a '03 Matrix XRS with 84k miles, have a couple issues

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
This DIY covers removal of a semi-rusted bearing: https://www.toyotanation.com/threads/diy-2003-2008-corolla-matrix-pontiac-vibe-fwd-rear-wheel-bearing-replace-w-pics.1255345/ Its for drum brakes but the concept is the same.
  7. Wiring diagram for headlight switch? (fog light wires)

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)

  8. Adding keyless entry to a 2006 CE with factory power locks

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
You cannot add keyless entry remotes because you don't have the keyless entry hardware or wiring. You need to add/swap the following parts from an LE or S with keyless entry: Integration relay Door control receiver Wiring between DCR and IR Once you add the parts, you can then program factory...
  9. DIY 2005-2007 Sequoia A750E Transmission Drain and Flush w/PICS!

    Sequoia Forum
I flush them all this way. The "fluid change caused issues" is a decades old car myth. Transmission fluid literally drives, cools, and lubricates the transmission. If the fluid needs changing, especially while you already have issues, change it. You wouldn't leave motor oil that's never been...
  10. What's this broken part??

    Sequoia Forum
Looks like something that was run over and bounced over the tank. It appears to a construction item.
  11. DIY 2003-2008 Corolla, Matrix, and Pontiac Vibe Front Sway Bar End Link Replacement

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
Toyota links are probably updated. These links were on 10th Gen Corolla/2nd Gen Matrix and Vibe and 1st Gen Scion tC as well. I'm sure there were tweaks throughout the run.
  12. DIY TPMS Repair w/ TechStream Sensor Replacement

    Highlander 2nd Generation (2008-2013)
Rehashing this thread as it's only relevant one of the forum. I had the exact same experience as others here with the error below: "ID registration failed due to a communication error with the ECU while in initialization mode" I had no problem programming my Sequoia using an older AllScanner...

  15. Engine won't catch. .

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
You probably blew a head gasket and have no compression or a coolant soaked cylinder. Check your compression readings and report back.
  16. 2ZZGE XRS Maf Question

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)
That's pretty high. Almost double what I would expect at idle. What RPM does it idle at?
  17. 2005 matrix owner

    Corolla 9th Gen/1st Gen Matrix (2003-2008)

  18. 2011 Sequoia SR5 4.6 2WD Cat Converter

    Sequoia Forum
Aftermarket cats have way less platinum and won't last nearly as long. Some begin to fail again with weeks.
  19. What did you do to your Sequoia today?

    Sequoia Forum
Recently restored the headlights which were in dangerously bad condition. Also replaced the blown driving lights with LEDs. They look amazing now! Also scored some new covers for the courtesy door lights. I lost 2 of them recently when replacing the bulbs.
  20. Secondary Air Injection System Failure

    Sequoia Forum
Failures come in many forms. Some failures cause limp mode and reduced speed. Some failures don't affect how the engine runs at all. Most failures will occur at startup which is the only time the system is really working. I guess it's possible for failures to happen while driving but I imagine...
