  2. camry with AWD

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Yep, read articles. As usual, it's just bait to keep buyers glued to Toyota brand. Allegedly, maybe, hypothetically, potentially, likely, possibly and so on. Just press Subscribe and Like us. Forever.
  3. camry with AWD

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Sure. Then Camry hybrid e AWD becomes possible, right? Just to close gap between the Prius and RAV hybrids in AWD realm. Is OP willing to consider hybrid?

  5. Allergic reaction to leather seats in Highlander XLE

    Highlander 3rd Generation (2014-2019)
Finding hypoallergenic seat covers will be helluva cheaper than trading in the car - and taking chances on another one. Plastics they use in car industry do produce vapors, unfortunately. Especially in hot climate.

  7. 2006 Highlander Hybrid Limited 2WD CV Axle Shaft and Control Arms Replacement--Worth it?

    Highlander 1st Gen - Hybrid (XU20/2005-2007)
It is VERY possible that Toyota does indeed recommend engine removal for those replacements. Why not. More green wind into their sales. That it can be done much faster, easier and for less - that's the fact too.
  8. 2006 Highlander Hybrid: replace OEM stereo/amp

    Highlander 1st Gen - Hybrid (XU20/2005-2007)
I guess, in time it took you to type this elaborate response, you could have simply described how to do the heck, so anyone who reads this post will drink from the wisdom. Personally, I do not care, I drive 98 car. But, others could have used help.

  10. 2006 Highlander Hybrid Limited 2WD CV Axle Shaft and Control Arms Replacement--Worth it?

    Highlander 1st Gen - Hybrid (XU20/2005-2007)
I like you attitude towards car.(y) Fire your mechanic, he's greedy sob. Driver side axle is about 30 min job. Passenger side is PITA, due to intermediate shaft involvement, but it's still about 1.5 hr job. Control arms - ARE THEY REALLY CRACKED OR HE IS TALKING ABOUT BUSHINGS?- can be replaced...
  11. 2006 Highlander Hybrid: replace OEM stereo/amp

    Highlander 1st Gen - Hybrid (XU20/2005-2007)
Care to elaborate on what exactly entices to make that "dopey "fake" connection"? You tossed word out giving hopes without actually any explanation. Thank you.
  12. Toyotas that do not have CVT transmission...

    Corolla 12th Gen (Hatch 2019+/Sedan 2020+)
Technically, it's epicyclical gear set. Not my wording. Toyiota had to register it somehow for purpose of being able to sell, so they name it CVT and, as of lately, e-CVT. But it's simply word for the masses. It has nothing in common with CVT CVT.
  13. (HELP) 2019 Camry SE delay start up?

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Read your post: When I go to start it up it takes a second to actually startup, where the engine revs up. This does not say :"starter turns engine longer, than ....", right? From my push button engines, none of them started right away, they all took few seconds to "process" the command.
  14. Clutch Judder Help

    Corolla 7th Generation (1993-1997)
Your clutch starts skipping, causing judder. Highest load on it is in 1st and in reverse. Do this. get bumper agaisnt something solid, with a soft pad inbetween, not to scratch it. Turn engine on, depress clutch, engage 1st and then slowly release clutch pedal. If engine stalls right away - then...
  15. (HELP) 2019 Camry SE delay start up?

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
ONE SECOND? I see nothing wrong with that.
  16. Intermediate steering shaft 2013 Highlander- OEM vs aftermarket

    Highlander 2nd Generation (2008-2013)
there is no collapsible coupling. The intermediate shaft is really 2 shafts. They have splines and one fits into the other. That makes it collapsible shaft. Sorry. Just buy one price up from the bottom online. With few years warranty. A lot of what is sold online is simple rebadged OEM stuff...
  17. 2021 Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid

    RAV4 5th Gen - Hybrid (XA50/2019+)
But that's totally fine. Let's do this though. It's 10/15/2019. let's revisit this thread in one year. Only one year. Let's talk then. Fair enough? And hey, I drive 1998 Grand Marquis and my 2019 RAM sits in garage for proper duty jobs. It's just that EV makes so much more sense over any...

  20. 2021 Toyota RAV4 Plug-In Hybrid

    RAV4 5th Gen - Hybrid (XA50/2019+)
Yeah, but this is NOW. With GM stepping into infrastructure development, proliferation of EVs everywhere, Ford releasing EV F150, Rivian on horizon, this concern is subject to change on a monthly basis. Also, no big deal to install fast charger at home. Please, do not forget that Teslas already...
