  1. Speaker harness terminal pins type.

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
You can find the terminal type by looking up the connector. It should have a PN imprinted on the body. Just google that and you should easily find the terminal. NOTE: most of these terminal come on strips as they are meant for crimping on industrial pneumatic machinery. However, I've had no...
  2. Interior dressing

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
I've been using Nextzett Cockpit Premium for years. This stuff cleans just about all interior surfaces - including the multimedia screens. Leaves a clean matte finish with a nice citrus-new-car-smell. I even keep some in small spray bottles in each car for quick touch ups and cleanups.
  3. windshield visors won't stay in place.

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Had mine replaced back in early 2018. Haven't had an issue since. You probably got bad replacements. Since they already replaced them once, I'm sure you'll have no problem getting it done again.
  4. What did you do to your Gen 8 Camry today?

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Where did you get the door trim light?
  5. Dealer requested I come in at 1000 miles/ 1 month

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Some high performance cars (like BMW M3's) used to have a "break in" service at 1,000 miles. That was to change the oil and check for any metal in the oil (which is common in many new cars). But this is a performance vehicle with strict standards (and a hefty price tag). I don't believe the same...
  6. 2018 Camry Google hand free

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Another thread has the same question as you. Answer is holding down the Phone button on the steering wheel. This turns on Google Assistant.
  7. Mobile Assistant

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Speaking from daily experience, @djoyce101 is right. Holding the the Phone button on the steering wheel activates Google Assistant. I use it daily to make calls, send text messages, play Pandora, etc. on my Samsung S9+ with Android 9.0
  8. Hybrid - Website Configurator Now Available

    RAV4 5th Generation (2019+)
Hey all, I'm sure many of you have been itching to see the online configurator for the RAV4 Hybrid (I was checking daily). Well thought I'd let everyone know that it's now live on their site: https://www.toyota.com/rav4hybrid/ Enjoy playing with packages.
  9. Google assistant

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Thanks! This worked for me (2018 XSE V6). I consider myself extremely tech savvy, but could not find add the settings using the standard "add/link a device." But this explanation helped me get it done.
  10. 2018 Camry Trunk and Fuel Tank Door Button Upgade

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
The trunk does not open if the car is moving. I'm sure there's some speed at which it may (probably below 5 MPH). But i tested it while rolling down the street and the trunk didn't open. It's an electronic switch which sends a signal to wherever it goes. If it's smart enough not to open when at...
  11. Wireless charging pad

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
I had the same phone as you (now have the S9+). What works for me is to put it right in the middle of the pad and then twist the phone so that the corners hit the raised lip of the pad and "lock" it into place. This works for me 100% of the time
  12. Can't find mpg indication as I drive

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
If you're looking for your instant MPG you can reference the top line-with-dot reading: That tells you the MPG you're getting at that very moment (depending on your speed, acceleration, conditions, etc)
  13. Camry/Avalon TRD sneak peek...

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
I like this article better as it shows more pictures. Including a TRD Exhaust:
  14. 2019 XSE V6 fully loaded 36k price

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Is that $36k Out The Door? If not, you should be able to get a better deal than that. I bought my 2018 last August, fully loaded XSE V6 with Dynamic Nav and Birds Eye View. Only option missing was the two-tone paint. At that time the V6's were just coming out and there were not many available...
  15. Car hit by auto door at parking lot

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
FYI: Just because there is a sign that says they are not responsible, doesn't mean they aren't responsible in the eyes of the law. Of course negligence would have to be proved, however, it doesn't absolve them of liability caused by the property's equipment and failures. In other words, talk...
  16. XLE and EZ Pass

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
I have my ez pass mounted at the top of the driver's side windshield, halfway between the mirror and A-Beam. Has worked perfectly for the past 11 months. I'm using this non-permanent holder and it's worked great and easy to stick on when needed and put away when not. http://a.co/d/i4qb6zn
  17. Windshield Wiper Position

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
Does it hold itself up in the heat? I have one from another brand and after an hour of direct sunlight it get lose and starts to fall down. The visors in our cars don't fold all the way to the windshield so it's not much help to hold it up.
  18. "Front Camera Unavailable" Warning on Startup

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
It's happened to me approx. 4 times in the past month. I believe it has to do with the heat. Here in Southern California it's been above 100 (eve up to 119) a few times. I notice this issue when I first start up my car after it's been sitting for a few hours - but only when sitting in full sun...
  19. K&N Aftermarket Intake

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
I just found that K&N released a short ram intake for the 4 Cylinder and hybrid models. If any are interested, here is the link: https://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=69-8621TTK&pcid=A
  20. Car braking when it thinks it will hit something

    Camry 8th Generation (2018+)
I agree with others that you should remove the tire as your parking sensors do the job for you. In regards to the collision-mitigation-braking, the car will auto-stop you even if going 0.5 mph (mine does). I believe you can turn down the sensitivity, but I'm not sure.
