History
Wanted a new project, settled on a rally car. Before dumping big money in an AWD, decided to try my hand in the 2WD class. Wanted a car that was cheap, plentiful, and that I had some knowledge about. Luckily a 94 Rolla fell in my lap for $500 bucks. The Corally was born.
This will be a budget build. Running the 4afe on stock internals. Custom built intake manifold utilizing a 1uz throttle body. Header and 2.5" straight exhaust. Stock 5spd tranny with a welded diff. Adding a hood scoop to work with the custom intake and a roof scope for hot days on the stages. Interior is stripped and we are building a FIA 253 spec cage, with racing seats and harnesses. Power steering pump deleted and replaced by electric power steering column donated from Prius. Brake booster delete for smoother left foot braking. Adding skid plates. Eventually building a fuel cell in the trunk. Suspension swapped over from a 95 Camry. Bigger Struts, spindles, 5 lug conversion, and 4 wheel disc. Hydraulic e-brake. Way down the road I will build a 4agte to drop in. Me and my co driver are sourcing most parts from junkyards and fabricaing what we can. Updates to come.
