Hello, Looking to pick up a 1982 toyota pickup tailgate if anyone has one for sale. The internal components on my tailgate stopped working and now the tailgate latch no longer works. Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket kit that replaces the latch components?

We commonly haul oversized stuff that extends out the rear tailgate. The tailgate warning light is very annoying with the door open and the Toyota dealer said it cannot be disconnected. If there is a work around I would like to know. Thank you in advance.
