  2. Corolla 6th Generation (1988-1992)
Hi All, New to this forum–sorry in advance if I'm slow on the pickup! My '92 Alltrac has a bad wheel bearing, so I ordered an OEM part and found a nearby machine shop that's willing to remove/replace. I expect, given the awful sound coming from the rear end, that the hub assembly won't hold a...

Simple question, if my car does NOT have ABS will the rear wheel bearing/hub setup from an ABS car fit correctly? I think yes but want to be sure. Obviously the opposite wouldn't work (non ABS on ABS car).

So my steed has a bad wheel bearing. As I have enjoyed the zen of 9th gen mechanics and DIY repair, I am undertaking most of the wheel bearing replacement (shop will dot the pressing). I ordered Timken bearings from RockAuto. They arrived today. The RockAuto magnet went on the fridge and the...

Hello - I'm trying to replace the front wheel bearings on my 2007 Sequoia and I can't get the darn lock nut off of the axle hub. I have the SST but I'm not sure which way to turn. My 4' leverage bar isn't moving it. Just making sure that it is counter-clockwise to remove? I knew at 200 ft lbs...

Howdy, So I got some rear wheel bearings with the hub from Timken, but the holes for the lug studs are smaller than OEM and I have to use longer-than-OEM lug studs (long story) Anyway, I figure the surefire way to do this is just to buy the bearing module separate and then slap the OEM hub on...

I have a 2012 SE V6 with 113,xxx miles. I've had a droning noise that seems to have gotten progressively worse over the last year or so. I thought it was the Michelin tires that were nearing replacement. I had a new set of Michelins put on a couple weeks ago which seemed to improve it some...

Hello All! This is LONG, so I apologize. Hopefully you won't have questions though. I have a 09 Rav4 w/ V6 and 100k miles, about 80% highway miles. Quick question then explanation. Is it possible for a shop to damage the cv boot while replacing the wheel bearing??? So I had my front left...

I'm having an issue with my wife's 2008 Camry. We're feeling vibration at highway speeds. Feels like it's coming from the front passenger side. We've had all 4 tires replaced (two of them replaced twice because we got lucky and the shop gave us a set of 4 for free with all the trouble we were...

Hey Everyone! New member here so hopefully I'm posting this in the right area. I have a 96 Corolla DX with 190k on the clock. I hear a strange wobble sound coming from what I believe is the front drivers side wheel, although I'm not positive its the drivers side. I'm starting to run out of...

I've been trying to figure out whats wrong with the wheel for about a week now. There is an audible clunking sound coming from the front right wheel. I can hear it a speeds up to maybe 15 to 20 mph then it fades out probably from road noise. I think I narrowed it down to a bad wheel bearing, tie...
