‘19 Highlander display issues.

For the past 4 months the display screen flashes on and off unless I turn the Bluetooth off on my phone. Typically if I disconnect and reconnect my phone, the problem is resolved unless a call comes it at which point the display turns off, eliminating navigation or hands free calls while driving. I have disconnected the phone and reconnected it, forgotten the Bluetooth connection and then reconnected it after I turned off my phone (advice of the dealer) but it continues to flash on and off unless the phone is not connected at all. The dealer claims that it is a result of and IOS update.

I was having this issue as well. I found in another thread that turning off contact sync on your iPhone under the Bluetooth connections eliminates the issue. I tried this and all is well.

Yeah, you could do as DriveCrazy suggests, but I’ve seen lots of remedies posted, none of which accounts for the fact that it’s a known defect and your dealer should be willing to replace the entire enTune unit. It wasn’t until that was done that we solved our constant rebooting issue.
