I plan on keeping my Tacoma around for a long time, and I recently noticed a little frame rust, which caused me to think about the whole dodgy rust treatment issue which affected certain models. I'm going to take it in to a dealer, just to be sure, but it looks okay to me. Assuming everything is normal, what can I do or have done to protect my frame in the future? It doesnt have to be perfect but I'll do what it takes to prevent the frame from rotting out of a truck which is otherwise just the way I want it.

I've read a little about undercoating and it seems the general opinion is split 50/50. I've also read about a product called Rust Bullet, which seems like a good solution in my case. Would anyone agree?

On these frames it rusts from the inside out. If it's rusting now undercoating it won't do much I think.
I agree 100%. With that said I think a closed box frame such as the Tacoma's could benefit from better drainage so no water will sit in the hollow frame. My coworker drilled a couple of holes in his frame on each side for better drainage.

Try a product called POR15. Google POR15. I have personally used this product on old classic cars frame and suspension parts and its excellent.

I went to the dealer and got mine done, they undercoated it, but they didn't remove anything.they just sprayed it on over the undercoat that was there, the inside of my frame is still uncovered and its rusted and flaking in there, I spray chainsaw oil in there as it is really tacky (good for moisture and water) They didn't even touch my frame by the engine. I was in and out in one day. I can't help but feel like there isn't any extra protection because my frame was undercoated good already. The inside will rust out first.

At least got the extra 15 year frame warranty.

Would any treatment (coatings) invalidate the frame warranty? The truck will be in a harsher climate in a few years, and I'm thinking of doing watever I can to protect the frame, but not if it invalidates the extended warranty.
