Hi,I have a 01 taco 2.7 4wd.started right up ran for 2 seconds then died .Now it just cranks ,but wont fire.I pluged my scaner in to check for codes.Just as I thought it showed no codes. any ideas?Thanks

Pull #1 Plugwire and see if it has any spark when someone is turning it over.
Dont know if yours has a cap and rotor, but if no spark, start there.

thanks for the reply.just wanted to let you know I fixed the problem.It was the EFI relay.I didnt really know how to check it so I took the top off too check it out,then pluged it back in with the top still off.Then I noticed my head lights were on,so I checked the swich in the cab it was off,so I moved the points in the relay,and the lights went off,and the truck started.Guess Ill get a new relay just to be on the safe side.Kind of weird though that the lights would come on like that.
