What’s up guys, I have an 02 Camry that runs great. Had the car a year or so until yesterday while running errands I got back in her , cranked her and she started running rough with the idle no higher than about 300. I’ve tried the idle reset for shits and giggles to no avail. Any ideas what I should look for next?

I would at least try cleaning the throttle body. ⚠ DOT NOT OPEN THE THROTTLE PLATE BY HAND. Ignition on, but engine off, use the throttle pedal to open the throttle plate.

Check engine light on? Any pending codes stored in the ECU? Maintenance history? Might need a throttle body cleaning, then idle re-learn
No check engine light , no codes stored that I’m aware of ,

Kleen flo, if you can get it. Put a sock around a tooth brush, work carbon out not in. Clean the edges of the butterfly best you can. Expect a pcm relearn after clean. Don't forget to wiggle the throttle and check for play.

Cheers

When you bought it did you change the spark plugs? It maybe as simple as needing a set of new plugs. Also check for vacuum leaks. It's an old car so a hose could be broken or cracked. Vacuum leaks cause all sorts of weird things to happen.
