I have a 02 Tacoma V6. I have a check engine light on for code P1135 (Toyota specific) means "Air-Fuel Sensor Heater Circuit Response Malfunction". I got the code explanation from another post. I this air-fuel sensor the Oxygen sensor pre-cat? I keep seeing different explanations of this and just wanted to know for sure.

yes it is pre-cat. Make sure you get an air-fuel ratio sensor, O2 sensors are different. also get a gasket when you buy one as they do not come with one.

$188 for the air/fuel @ toyotaworld
$125 for the O2 @ Napa
Only the best for mine..but in this case i made an exception cause i needed both and it was too much $$ for me to spend for these ... got them for $10 for both at a junk yard..mines a 3.4L but these came off a 2.7 w/ 67,000..the check engine light went off and they work fine
