Greetings,
Doing a complete brake job on a 2003 Camry XLE Made in Japan.
Breezed through the front but unclear as to how the rear caliper comes free from the backplate. I see it is a bolt on the bottom but how about the top? What is the hardware under the rubber dust cover? It seems to have no bolthead. Can I just take the caliper along with the backplate?
TIA

Welcome to TN.

You can USUALLY find information by using the search feature. I did that for you and came up with a thread that has an exact write up with pictures.

Here is a link to the thread: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t195234.html

It's a really great write up and should answer any of the questions you have. If not, ask away.

To anyone that wants to reply after me, complaining that I told ANOTHER person to use the search function - You let this thread sit here for 2 days without any helpful information provided by you...

TRD, why are you telling yet another member to use TN's super nifty search function that finds answers to almost 90% of every question posted?? ;):D
