Hi all... I'm looking for info about the EVAP system... I have code info and a local mechanic
says to replace the charcoal canister. It seems to be just a black box. Has anyone purchased one
of these, and could there be other components that need to be replaced? codes P0441,0442,0446

It looks like this guy had the same issue you are having. This might be a good place to start. The charcoal canister is a possibility but I have not seen too many of these being replaced on Highlanders, maybe Toyota dealers see more of them. Evap leaks are hard to get a handle on. Good luck.

^^yup, make sure that vacuum line is connected to the air box.
