Does anybody know if keyless entry was a factory option on 2003 Taco Double cab TRD?

One of my friends has an 03 DC with keyless entry.

I just bought this truck and the dealer said that the key fobs where being delivered seperatly (something about theft on the train) but then he said that they made a mistake and you couldnt get keyless in 03. I think he screwed up and is just trying to BS me. Of course he offered me "his cost" on an alarm. Is there a quick way to find out if the truck has keyless entry?

Sounds like B.S. to me also. I have keyless entry in my 04 extended cab. I've been trying to think of a solution-these might help you.

This is to disable the beeping of the alarm. I know you dont have an alarm but believe it or not if you have keyless entry you have all the wiring for a fully functional alarm, all you need is a glass break sensor and LED which you can order from Toyota for a fraction of the price they will quote you for an alarm and you can install it yourself. I did this myself and save 200$ US easily. Anyways if you can see this wire next to your battery you probabley have keyless entry.

Or you could look for the antenna wire

Or you could try to program it- you dont need the fobs:

Or if you have time have the dealer run your VIN number and that will tell you. Good luck!
