I have been sold a Bosch wideband A/F sensor part# 15486 to replace the oem bank 1 sensor 1. For the life of me I cannot confirm this as a replacement part for this '04 Camry. Would anyone be so kind as to know or be able to confirm this as the correct part? Autozone sold it to me, Advance auto parts does not list it, Oreilley's does not list it and Bosch does not list it as a replacement part. I can't match it anywhere online for my vehicle either but they swear it's a match at Auto Zone. Any confirmation would be much appreciated, I don't fool around with this kinda stuff. P.S. the sensor threaded in and the plug hooked up so I don't know if that's good enough to say run it or not.

Never use Bosch products on a Toyota anyways. Bosch is known to cause numerous problems with Japanese vehicles. Just research the forums and you'll see what I'm talking about. If you need a part, go with Denso or NGK brands.

someone on one of these forums said bosch made denso sensors. i've researched and I can't find evidence of that. i always thought denso was it's own company, in japan, and bosch was a german company.
but to answer the op's question, it appears this is listed as a sensor for toys per ebay.
i agree with the last post though cause as far as i know, only denso or ngk parts are recommended for these cars.

Well the check engine light came right back on after installing it and starting the vehicle. I disconnected the battery for 30 minutes to so code should have been cleared. I've removed it, surface cleaned it and am going to return it for an OEM Denso brand sensor. Don't know how the return will go but I don't want a $150 sensor that didn't fix the problem and may actually cause more down the road.
