I am having a problem with both sliders (one auto, one manual) on my 04 Sienna LE freezing up on cold days after we've had some precipitation (cold rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow). I've taken it to the dealer once so far, and they diagnosed it as rusty hinges and they greased them. I'm skeptical that this is the problem since it only seems to happen after we get some precip. Is anyone else having this problem, if so have you gotten it resolved (and how)? Thanks. FYI, I live in Albany, NY so it’s not like I live an extreme winter environment and the problem just surfaced this winter.

I also have a 2004 Sienna/LE. One door is manual and right door is automatic. In Toronto this year I experienced the same problem. I bought some Silcon spray from Canadian tire and sprayed around the rubber of the door frame. It did help a little . My next service I will ask to see why this occurs.
