I've been trying to find a 2005 camry SE 4-cylinder with a 5-speed manual tranny and have had no luck in locating one. Anyone know when they're supposed to come out? All I can find are automatics.

thats cause they only come in automatics. if you want 5spd manual your gonna have to get older than '05

According to the toyota website SE 4-cylinder 5-speeds do exist.

o, i thought i heard that they weren't coming in manuals anymore, maybe its one of those forced options. could always do a swap if you wanted it that badly i guess

There's probably a limited supply of Camry 5-speed manuals b/c not many people buy them.

I figured they would be rare but I can't find one in the entire southeastern US. If you search online inventory through a southeastern US dealership, you can look at every single vehicle available in the southeast very effortlessly. I was thinking that maybe the 5-speed SEs hadn't been released yet. Maybe in a few weeks.

as far as i've seen, SE 4cyl manual only come from japan, probably still take a long cruise vacation at the ocean, but i could be wrong.

We have a bunch of the standard model camrys in 5 spd. The sticker is like 18.5k. There are 05 se 4cyl 5spd manuals, just like there has been from the start of the gen 5.

lol no kidding a 5 or 6spd would be awesome most other manufacturers are and have been offering manuals on most of their engine packages

the camry isnt a performance monster but considering this entire board loves their cam's i dont see how toyota cant or wont acknowledge the existence of cam enthusiasts

now that the ugly xB, eehhh xA, nice tC are out nothing will ever happen
new supra in the works lexus getting its tuning division Ltune for mainly the IS and GS, no resources or even thoughts to expand the trd lineup especially the family grocery getter

There is some hope for the 3mz. I heard they're building a supercharger for it. It does suck that we don't get manual transmissions on our v6 gen5's. I heard they make them like that in australia or somewhere. And I'm pretty sure the e153 manual trans will bolt up to the 3mz. So if you want it bad enough it could happen.

usually if a tranny fits one family of engines (i.e. the MZ family), it'll fit all of them, so a swap might be what you need...

since tony has done a turbo and many others like wraith have done 3s swaps i wanna see someone sandwich a v8 and swap a rwd drive train in this motha..lots of work lots of money but imagine the glory like the is430

Im not sure exactly what kind of supercharger they are planning. Maybe a vortech unit. The tC has drive by wire and they are using the vortech. Im hoping it will be a vortech unit.

just looked at a 05 SE with a different kind of rims on there that come stock, looks like brown, but the thing was so nice fully loaded. but no body kit, and it was for $27000 a good price? i can probably get it lower then that.

You've got SE five speeds in New York? Finally someone that has actually seen one. Now I have hope that they will be coming to Florida soon. There's been lots of delays with all the hurricanes we've been having lately.
