Check your owner's manual. On my Scion, you have to do something like
hold down the trip odometer button while starting the car.

:

Turn key to Acc
Hold odometer push-button in
Turn key to On
Watch the odometer reading turn to dashes
Watch the dashes slowly disappear
When the dashes all go away, and turn to zeroes, release the odometer
button

And voila, the light goes out and stays out for another 5000 miles.

Mark
Worked like magic,,
I had the oil changed and it cam on after a couple hundred miles..
I couldn't get anyone at the dealer on the phone to tell me the secret..
I wonder if there's a glitch or some other reason the Maint light could have
come on?
Or is it just supposed to clock 5000 miles?
This dealer tech aint that great because 3 changes ago they left the plug
loose and I had a drip!

So I wonder what kind of glitch could have made it come back on after it was
reset...
I guess if it comes again, it's back to the dealer becasue it's still under
warranty..
But I hate going over there and waiting..
Any ideas?
