The driver side manual sliding door is shut and can't be opened from either the inside or outside.

Seems like there have been many issues with the power doors, which we've so far been lucky to avoid w/ the sliding door on the other side. But I haven't seen this particular issue mentioned in the forum.

Our local shop (not a Toyota dealer) says a $600-650 replacement part should take care of the problem, so we're looking for other options.

Ideas?

Just found your posting and was wondering if you ever found a solution and what ended up happening. Just ran into the same exact problem on our 2005 LE. Thanks

Sorry -- I think we "solved" the problem by having my wife total the van in a nasty accident.

Bought a Prius with the insurance money ...

sienna manual slide door stuck solution

I had the same issue, when to the dealer and quote me for $400. I found the problem was the child lock was half way which I fixed with a credit card and save some $$. Hope this help.
