Hi so recently my Brake and ABS light have been turning on at about 50 mph+ I say. The first time they turned on was after I rotated my tires. I thought it was very weird. My right passenger side CV axle boot has been ripped for a while now and making the clicking noises. I thought, “hey that might be the issue”. I replaced the CV axle. The brake and ABS light now appear only at higher speeds, 50 mph+. I’m thinking it might be the abs speed sensor? Maybe it was damaged by the CV axle ring ? What do you guys think ?

Am I able to read the code while the car is on? The brake and ABS lights disappear every time I turn the car off. And only turn on while going 50+ mph and stay on after that. My tie rods need to be replaced and my tires are in need of replacement. Any ideas ?
If it's a sensor it should be throwing a code.

The ecm should store the codes so they can be reviewed when not driving.
Depending on how bad the suspension and tires are they could be creating a vibration across the tone ring and speed sensor. Advantage of a scanner that shows or at least captures live data it could tell you more accurately at what speed and rpm the lights come on. But the basic location of a sensor fault should be stored in any ABS/SRS capable scanner.

Thank you! I’ll try scanning the code with an OBD2 code reader. I’ll keep you updated!
