Toyota has a TSB that will repair this. Take it to your dealer.
I am having the exact same problem with noise while connecting my XM receiver to my '07 Yaris auxiliary input. Do you have a link or an identification number to the Technical Service Bulletin that you are speaking of so I have something to show my dealer? I searched the TSB's for they RAV4 and Yaris but I couldn't find any information online. Any help would be appreciated.Toyota has a TSB that will repair this. Take it to your dealer.

There is a Toyota Service Bulletin on this problem Toyota will fix it free of charge.I had the same problem on my 07 Rav, solved it by purchasing a filter thru Crutchfield.com
Which filter? I took my '08 to the dealer but they refused to do anything because the TSB is for '06-'07 models.I had the same problem on my 07 Rav, solved it by purchasing a filter thru Crutchfield.com
This is a load of crap. There are a large number of '08 models that didn't get this problem resolved and many dealers are taking care of it. If having them listen to the problem isn't enough I would contact Toyota corporate directly.Which filter?
