My 09 Tacoma 2x2 runs rough when at a light in gear. When I put it in nutral it is OK. The dealer says that if there are no codes then it is fine. Is that true? Thanks, Joe

Well, when in gear and at a stop you can feel the truck shake. I don't know if this is related to the pinging when accelerating. If it were an older truck in my youth I would have advanced the carb and that would be it. I hope this helps you to help me. Thanks,

What engine/tranny do you have?

Advance the carb??????? Timing maybe. Sounds to me like the clutch isn't disengaging all the way if it runs ok in neutral.

Its a 4 cyl and an auto trans.
