i just bought a used 2000 Sienna and i currenlty have a 2003 Corolla. After looking at the 2 remotes, i realize they are the same, i wonder if you can program the same remote to work on both cars?

Has anyone tried that before? hate to carry 2 remotes in a keychain.

thanks in advance for any help.

Think about it... you're outside your house, going to take one and only one car, hit unlock.

The other car is now unlocked too. Unless you can toggle your remote for either car, it's not really going to work. ;)

we had our old remote set up so one button was for one car and the other button was for the other car. i don't know how well it works on a stock system, though. ours was aftermarket on both vehicles.
