i plan on buying this 1996 toyota camry LE 4 cyl sometime next week , everything is really clean on the car but since it is approaching 100k miles i was wondering what i should look into in terms of 100k maintenance that will keep this thing running for years and years. some advice and maybe what it would cost me would be very helpful. thanks

The most expensive - timing belt/water pump/tensioner/idler pulleys/camshaft-crankshaft-oil pump seals. If it wasn't done at 90 kmiles you better do it.
While doing this - replace the thermostat as well. Radiator cap is also cheap and might be replaced to avoid coolant spilling and overheating.
Other than this is not that expensive - PCV valve, distributor cap, spark plugs, spark plug wires. All fluids - coolant, transmission drain-n-refill several times, differential drain-n-refill (once), brake fluid, steering fluid.
Check brake pads and discs.
Check if valve cover gasket is leaking or not.
Clean the throttle body as well (search here for details).

Yeah, and :welcome: to TN!
