05 Double Cab V6 TRD Off road 6-speed. No major issues. One when the truck was BRAND NEW. The dealer had it for like 37days because they couldn't get parts, I pulled the B/s flag and got toyota to make my first payment for me becuase they gave me a camery as a loaner and I was paying for a truck....lol....kinda funny I told the guy i had to move plyboard and I'll get that plywood in that camery but he won't be happy with it. Anyway....No major issues...well none that the dealer wasn't willing to fix. It helped when I knew someone at the dealership, but he has since left. I have as of today 978xx runs like a clock. It's time I change the brake pads and turn the rotors...I havn't done that yet. I run excellent oil and change it 20-25k. Replace all the stupid stuff when neccessary, wipers, filters, light bulbs etc. I beat the pys out of this truck too sometimes, and she takes it well.

You change the oil every 20-25K miles? Which oil and filter are you using?
I agree that 5K miles seems like a short interval, while 25K seems a bit long.

for the 1GR-FE Amsoil EaO57 is the ticket. Guaranteed to 25K by amsoil. I run the Series 2000 0W-30 which has a drain interval of 17-35k depending on driving conditions. Servere driving has 17k which is defined as trips of 10mins or less or in city traffic with trips less than 30mins or something dumb. But i have maybe 4miles total off the highway each way out of 53miles one way so for every 106+/- miles theres only maybe 8 that are not highway. let me know if you want more info on amsoil stuff I'm a dealer and can help.

If Toyota had your truck for 37 days you could have lemon lawed it and got a brand new one.
Yeah, I would have probably done that. What parts could they not get for 37 days?

lemon law states AFTER you submit a notice to the attorney general, the dealer then has 30 days to fix it. I did not submit until the dealer had the vehicle for like two weeks. So when they got it back to me before their 30days I was a little disappointed, but exceptionaly happy with my rig though.
