Yeah, it was announced not long ago. This instantly reminds me of what rpw00mirage said:

I'll bet that won't be the 11thGen.

The Axio and Fielder always have a different body style compared to the USA/CA models.

I personally don't see how this being the 11th gen would be any different than the introduction of the 10th gen, or even the 10.5 gen. It's about as different from the previous gen as you'd expect. And just as ugly at first, until people get them and fix them up.

I guess our 11th gen corolla would not be like that. The only part of axio that is similar to our corolla is the interior design. Our extirior design is similar to altis (so better watch altis instead). And if they continue the S /XRS model, then we still have a sporty design compare to axio.

It's actually supercharged, not turbocharged.

It already has a front mount intercooler. The hood and roof scoops are not functional.
Oh, I was just figuring that it was turbocharged & that the hood scoop was functional. Since they are not functional than loose them.

In my case, it's not really the looks that's most important. We know that Corolla's look like that....lol

What I'm interested in is how powerful will the motor be 140, 150 hp? Will the car be bigger, smaller, lighter heavier? Will the transmission finally have 5 or 6 speeds?
Will it get a better mileage per gallon?
That's what's important to me.

What point would a hood scoop have on a turbocharged vehicle versus a supercharged vehicle? If there is not a top mount intercooler, there is no need regardless. That, obviously, has a front mount intercooler.

As for the roof scoop, they are functional. Whether that one is or not, who knows, but judging by the cage I would say it is. The roof scoop allows air to move in the cabin when opened. On track days fully suited up, a roof scoop is a Godsend.
