In visiting a local salvage yard this weekend, came across in 1983 Celica GT that was put out in the yard. Pretty unusual to find a Celica this old out there. Attached some pics. This is a U-Pull-It yard - the yard doesn't typically pull small parts and ship them. I could get easy-to-remove stuff if desired - but not sure how well this would work. Anyway, just in case you have an old one like this and can't find parts, this may be a source.

That can almost pass for a Toyota version of a DeLorean.

The car is in very good shape, but that front passenger corner collision probably did it in. Not many parts available out there to repair that amount of damage. It looks like the prior owner likely held onto it for quite some time after the collison, but probably gave up due to part availability. Lot's of good stuff on it though.

I can check the next time I'm out there if, for some reason, they left the fuel tank in that car. If it is out, I'm not sure they have it anywhere that would be easy to find and I'm not sure they sell fuel tanks (many places don't because of liability concerns). Those big items would cost a lot to ship to you these days too.
