My temperatur guage usually sits at C. The other day it went up to about 3/4 Hot, but my dad and I checked the coolant levels in the radiator and it seemed fine. Last night on the way coming back from work it went hot again and seemed like it was having trouble getting going off stop signs. At home I parked it on the side of the road for 5-10 minutes so I could shovel snow out of my driveway. When I went to start the truck again, it would not start. It still does not start this morning. But I can turn on the headlights. What is wrong and how can I fix it? (my dad is now gone for a week, so he can't help me)

Thanks.

Thank you for replying. Before getting your answer, I changed the coolant with a friend, topped up the oil (it was really low) and then my mom helped jump it with her car. It's on a battery charger for the night now. It seems to be running well. I'll have to keep an eye on the temperature gauge. My mom says it shouldn't stay at C but be in the middle. Is that right?

mine seems to run near the C or cold when it hits operating temp. I'm assuming its just the nature of the beast :). Either way as long as it warms up as in moves a little away from the C and is spitting out hot air from the heater, then your fine. Most cars do operate in the middle of the guage.
