after I bought my 1987 Toyota Celica GTS from my brother, the headlight as well as the motor to make them pop up and down. Also, the tail lights now don't work I ask my brother about it and he said he caused an arc between the battery, battery holder, and the hood when taking out the battery before I bought it from him everything did work before then. So I have already checked the fuses and relays and replaced them as well as a new battery but nothing changed I don't know what to check for next if anyone has any ideas on what I should do.

Some cars have a 100 amp fuse-able link tucked under or near the fuse box in the engine bay.
Longshot, but worth checking.

If you can read and understand electrical schematics, get one for your 87 GT-S. It will help you understand what is all on the circuits and will show you where all the fuses and fusible links are.
