I removed the oil cooler yesterday and noted a potential missing Gasket. This would be the gasket that goes between the cooler and the block. Based on the part number it is the same as the gasket that goes between the mounting bolt shoulder and the front of the cooler. This is all based on the diagram on the shop manual. I am looking for confirmation.

Thanks,

Wayne

Thanks Bam. Great website!! I guess I was questioning whether the shop manual was accurate. Because when I removed the cooler there was no gasket between the block and the cooler. There was a o-ring attached to the cooler. The shop manual shows 2 identical gaskets -- one located at the bolt shoulder and one between the block and the cooler. Perhaps that's the reason for one of my many oil leaks! The website you provided doesn't tell you how many gaskets are required. So I am asking if anyone knows what they found with there cooler.
