1997 2.7 Exhaust manifold #2 cracked!

Well I have to get a header I guess because the stock manifolds don't last. I am wondering if an LC engineering header will work properly with the stock exhaust? All the posts I could find were describing headers with Magnaflow exhaust, and I realize LC sells this header alonside a stainless Magnaflow cat back system, but i can't afford it altogether. What will the sound be like with a stock Toyota muffler? If it's a little mellower than the Magnaflow vids on youtube then thats ok with me.
