on the dash to left of steering wheel it says security with a small light. Ok here is the problem. Must have short some where in it. Car sitting still lights and horn will start to flash and horn goes off. We have had to take fuse out of horn. I want to disconnect the alarm system completely how and where do I do this so I can hook the horn fuse back up

...Same thing happened to my '98 LE ... not in my possession any more. It seemed like a change for cooler weather affected something in the security system. Horn would go off with no provocation. ... Took it too the local dealer ... who adjusted the sensitivity of the security system ... exactly what they did is a mystery. ... So for a nominal fee, the problem was solved. As far as I know, you can not do this yourself.
... The system, if it's what I'm thinking, is the SecuriKey+. If you need a photocopy of the user manual, send a personal message ... containing your email.

If you got the 'SECURITY' with the small holes in a circle, it's the RS3000 most likey. Not sure if the SecuriKey+ system tho.

The removal is about the same as the RS3000 system. If you got it install, you can remove it with 90% being plug and play. The other 10 percent, you'll just cut some cables (alarm side since its a T- tap).

Both systems should have a sensitivity dial for the glass impact (detects sound) sensor.

EDIT: I'm not sure but you could in theory just unplug the ECU for the alarm. The ECU for the RS3000 I believe is located underneath the driver side. Gotta look upwards underneath the floor board up to the petal side. If not, it could be behind the passenger dash. I thinki if you just pull the ECU, it should disable the alarm without having to touch with the factory wiring.
