Gator,
I just finished my installation and it was quite a bit more involved than I at first thought. It wasn't hard but start to finish it took about 5 hours. I installed the new 1.5" upper ball joint spacers, the shocks extensions, and adjusted the torsion bars to level the truck.
On my truck most of my adjustment was already done (at the factory) so I only had about 1/2" - 1" of torsion bar length to play with, but this was plenty to raise the truck 2". I ended up overshooting on one side and undershooting on the other. Most of the time was spent adjusting the torsion bar, jacking up / down, driving around and re-checking. After final adjustment I was able to match front-back and side-side to within 1/16th". When I started one side of the truck was about 1/4" lower than the other (up front) which I guess is due to suspension sag over the years.
At first it seemed like my ride was going to be harder, but then after final adjustment it seems fine. It is currently at the shop getting an alignment (as you could visually see that the tires were towed in significantly).
I let you know how the truck rides after the alignment, but the steering was much quicker (due to the severe tow-in). I like the stance of the truck much better now, which is mostly the wheels / tires (which I also change) but the jacked up front end feels much nicer also. It makes it feel / look like a much bigger truck.
