The light just stays on... i thought i remembered there was a way to connect 2 wires and make the check engine light flash in a sequence to identify why it was on..

does anyone know the wire pin out to do this?

thanks in advance.

Your car is OBD-II, so you need a scanner to retrieve the codes.

Jumping the diagnostic connector (TE1 & E1) won't work.
