What's the technique in removing the "trim from the dash" to reveal the screws holding the 56808 CD radio in place? Seems there are clips holding it in place, that I'm fearful of snaping/damaging.

Yes there are clip but they will not break.. You must pull the right & left vent out then remove the panel under the radio. its all clips then remove the 10mm bolts to take out the radio..
