You can get an aftermarket housing switches from a Lexus 470 and swap over your pcb into the new housing. You may need to slightly sand down a plastic stem on the bottom of the black housing so that the pcb can slide over. The aftermarket button membrane should work but you can swap in your old one if you need too

the quality of the plastic is actually pretty good!

Already did, it works just fine. Probably can add a little led on the old board to light up the switches but, for now. Pretty nice

well if you need literal plastic that isn’t cracked. All the eBay listing for the original working highlander units are at least 50 bucks. That’s the assembly altogether.
Not to mention faded marking. No new aftermarket

if you have a working pcb and broken plastic switches and stems, buy the aftermarket, and just swap in your old pcb. If your old switches feel loose and dull, chances are the plastic stem under is broken.
The aftermarket quality is actually really good.

I believe it wouldn’t be hard to wire up an LED to illuminate the switches. But as a cheap fix, I’m happy.
May attempt a LED soldering job and post a new new update haha

So why isn't is a straight swap? The connector is different?

The PCB is different on the aftermarket, your highlander will spazz all the locks most likely like mines did. The after market pcb has a whole different design to it and most likely it has pin out changes and firmware differences of some kind.

Oh gotcha. Yeah mine is in great shape, it just bugs me they don't light up!
